About Us

My college is a community based day provision for adults with learning disabilities from the age of 16 and above.
Some Service Users might have complex learning needs including physical, communication and sensory disabilities, medical conditions or autism, in addition to learning disabilities, from severe to profound. My college places a particular emphasis on ‘Learning Through Living’ – personalised learning, facilitating a range of communication needs, and Supporting Service Users in the community and with future vocational opportunities.

My college offers a variety of support methods depending upon the individual’s needs.

Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger Syndrome, ADHD

If you have declared you have ASD/ADHD an interview is arranged with the coordinator, for the site, to ensure that My College can meet your needs prior to the assessment or curriculum interview.

  • Interview with the team to assess and discuss support needs
  • Transition visits and taster days
  • A personalised support plans.
  • In class support (where applicable)
  • Support in the Centres
  • Access to a quieter space for breaks and time out

Mobility

If you declare you have a mobility issue where appropriate My College will arrange:

  • An accessibility assessment
  • A Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan
